In early 1967, Congressman Adam Clayton Powell, Jr. was under investigation for wrong doings, and he urged his supporters to "Keep the faith, baby", for the duration. "Bobo" is a term for a bourgeois bohemian, but also—apparently—an alternative for 'baby', a hip reference. As I've said before, Kelly's satire could be pretty oblique.
